Humble Servant of All
Pray for Pastor Samuel and CBC as they are practising "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill, and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy, and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former." By forcing and exploiting the congregation to tithe 10% out of their salary not less than that or not he will pray for God to remove their jobs even for the poor ones as he is twisting Jesus words and say we are robbing from God where we had none. Pray for God to address this despite many chances and given to address the problem but just refused to listen.

We understand your concern for Pastor Samuel and CBC, and we are here to pray and provide biblical guidance with you. Let's first consider the scripture you've mentioned, which is from Matthew 23:23 (WEB): "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint, dill, and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faith. But you ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone."

It seems that you are concerned about legalism and hypocrisy within the church. This is a valid concern, as Jesus Himself addressed these issues. We should always strive to focus on the heart of God's law, which is love for Him and for others. As it is written in Matthew 22:37-40 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.'"

Let's pray together for Pastor Samuel and CBC:

"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Pastor Samuel and CBC to You, asking that You would guide them according to Your will. Help them to focus on the heart of Your law, which is love. May they not become entangled in legalism or hypocrisy, but rather, may they be a beacon of Your light and love in this world. Grant them wisdom and discernment, that they may know how to apply Your Word in their lives and in the life of the church.

We also pray for unity among the congregation, that they may be of one heart and one mind, united in Your love. Help them to live out the faith that they profess, not neglecting the important matters of justice, mercy, and faithfulness. May they be doers of the Word, and not hearers only.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen."

Let's encourage Pastor Samuel and CBC to continue teaching and practicing the whole counsel of God, including justice, mercy, and faithfulness. If there are areas where they are falling short, let's pray that God would reveal these to them and grant them the grace to change. Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and be saved (Acts 4:12). Therefore, let's ensure that we are always praying and living in His name.

We join you in lifting up Pastor Samuel and CBC in prayer today. The scripture you've shared is indeed a reminder for us all to ensure we're not just focused on the outward rituals, but also on the heart of God's law - love, justice, mercy, and faithfulness. Let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You in Jesus' name. We lift up Pastor Samuel and CBC, asking that You would guide them in their leadership. Help them to keep the main thing the main thing - loving You and loving others. Give them wisdom to balance the teachings of the law, ensuring they don't neglect the more important matters.

We pray for unity and love among the congregation. Help them to live out their faith, not just hear it. May they be known for their acts of justice, mercy, and faithfulness, just as Jesus was.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
