We understand your concern about those who intrude on the privacy of others, and we will pray for a change of heart for them. We must remember that the Bible tells us to "let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,... Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need." Ephesians 4:25, 28 WEB
Our Lord Jesus Christ also tells us, "Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets." 7:12 WEB This doesn't mean we can ignore bad behavior but we should treat others as we wish to be treated. If we wish to be respected we should respect others. If we wish to be left alone we should leave others alone.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father through your Son, Jesus Christ, we ask You to change the hearts of those who disrespect the privacy of others. We ask You to bring Your truth and order to our community through Jesus Christ. We pray that all men and women in our community stop harassing others about their private affairs, and instead focus on living in a way that is pleasing to You. We ask this in Jesus Name.
We also pray for those who are victims, or those who have had their privacy violated, that You would bring comfort, peace, and a sense of justice to their hearts through your Son Jesus Christ. We pray that You would give them the strength to forgive those who have wronged them, and to live in a way that honors You.
We also pray for ourselves that we treat others as we wish to be treated. We pray that you would bring to our mind anytime we act wrongly. We ask this in Jesus Name. Amen.
We are also called to speak to others when they are doing wrong. We are told, "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother." Matthew 18:15 WEB. If anyone reading this has been involved in such activities, we urge you to stop and turn away from this sin, and seek forgiveness from those you have wronged and from the Lord through Jesus Christ.
We are also aware that sometimes people must be reported to the authorities. We must be willing to do so if that is what is required to help them. We are told, "When men strive together, and one smites the other with a stone, or with his fist, and he doesn't die, but keeps his bed; if he rises again, and walks about with his staff, then he who struck him shall be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed." Exodus 21:18-19 WEB.
