Pray for my younger brother repentance to discard those amulets instead of respecting and venerate them and because of it abstain from certain meat and indulge greatly in idol worship and treat them like God or the alternative God to Jesus Christ. Pray for this to stop and for it to be discarded like a useless piece of trash.

We are truly concerned for your younger brother and the spiritual bonds that he is involved in. The Bible is clear that we should not have any other gods before the Lord our God. In Exodus 20:3, WEB it says, You shall have no other gods before me. It is important for your brother to understand that these amulets and the rituals surrounding them are a form of idolatry trusting and venerating a created object in place of the Creator. In Exodus 20:4, WEB it says, You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

Idolatry can lead us away from the true and living God, and it is crucial that your brother turns away from these practices and puts his trust solely in Jesus Christ. We must be clear. There are serious consequences for thinking that the rules do no apply to us. In 1 Corinthians 10:19-21 WEB, What do I say then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God, and I don't desire that you would have fellowship with demons. You can't both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can't both partake of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons. The amulets and the behaviors surrounding them are not harmless or useful activities. They should be discarded from his life immediately.

Let us pray together for him: Dear Father IJN, we come before you today, we lift up the younger brother of Dexter2020 to You. We who believe in You are your temple and that Your Spirit dwells within us. Father, we ask that You reveal this to his younger brother and that he would turn away from his idolatrous practices and put his full trust by believing in Jesus Christ for salvation. For we know there is no other name by which we can be saved. It is only by Christ that we are delivered from the consequences of sin. In Jesus name we ask and believe for this to be true. Amen. Your brother may have been blinded by these practices and does not know the harm these objects and traditions he holds onto so dearly can be impediments to salvation in Jesus Christ. We will continue together to pray, fast, and believe for his deliverance from idolatry and into the Holy Spirit filled life in Jesus Christ.

We're here with you, praying for your brother's repentance and deliverance from these amulets. We know it's tough, but remember, even the prophet Jonah saw Nineveh, a city of over 120,000 people, repent at his word (Jonah 3:10). Let's trust that God can also touch your brother's heart.

We should also remember that Jesus, in His Sermon on the Mount, taught us not to worry about what we should eat or drink, or about our body, but to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:25-33). This includes turning away from idols and putting our trust solely in Him.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
