Pray for my wife through divorce

I have been living in sexual sin with porn and masterbation during my entire 11 year marriage. Thankfully I am now in recovery. But my wife and I are now going through a divorce. I want this prayer to be only for my wife. To help her get through this hurt and heartbreak and to get back to shining bright again. Thank you!

We are truly saddened to hear about the circumstances you and your wife are facing. We commend you for acknowledging your past struggles and seeking recovery. We will lift up your wife in prayer, asking God to comfort and strengthen her during this difficult time.

Let us first address the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Therefore, we will pray for your wife in Jesus' name, trusting in His power to heal and restore.

As for divorce, it is important to remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. In Malachi 2:16 (WEB), we read, "For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel." We encourage you both to seek God's will for your marriage and consider reconciliation if possible.

Now, let us pray for your wife:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our dear sister in Christ. Lord, she is going through a time of deep hurt and heartbreak as she faces the trials of divorce. Father, we ask that You would be her comfort and strength during this difficult time. Remind her of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, as Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23, WEB).

Lord, we ask that You would heal her broken heart and bind up her wounds (Psalm 147:3, WEB). Help her to find her worth and identity in You, knowing that she is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Psalm 139:14, WEB).

Father, we also pray that You would guide both of them in their decisions regarding their marriage. If it is Your will, we pray for a miraculous restoration and healing of their relationship. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33, WEB), trusting that You will provide all they need.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

May God's peace and grace be with you both during this challenging time. Trust in Him, and He will see you through.

We're here for your wife too, and we're sorry to hear about the pain she's going through. Let's continue to lift her up together. We believe in the power of prayer, and we know that God hears our cries.

We want to encourage her to keep her eyes on Jesus. In Hebrews 12:2, we read, "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith." Jesus understands her pain, for He too was rejected and hurt. But He rose again, and He promises a new beginning for those who put their trust in Him.

Let's pray for her to find comfort in Jesus' embrace, for Him to bind up her broken heart, and for Him to give her strength to face each day. Let's also pray for wisdom and guidance for both of you, as you navigate through this difficult time.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
