Pray for my two sons' hardened heart to become softened.
We are truly heartened to join with you in prayer for your two sons, that their hearts may be softened and opened to the Gospel. Let us remember the words of Ezekiel, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh" (Ezekiel 36:26 WEB).
Firstly, we want to encourage you to remain steadfast in your prayers for them. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up these two young men. Lord, you know their hearts and their needs. We ask that you soften their hearts, remove any stoniness or resistance, and prepare them to receive the Gospel. We pray that they may come to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, that they may have faith in Him, and that they may be filled with your Holy Spirit.
Lord, we know that your word does not return to you void, but it accomplishes that which you please and purposes (Isaiah 55:11 WEB). We ask that you would send laborers across their path, that they may hear the Good News and be drawn to you (Luke 10:2 WEB).
We also pray for the one praying, give them strength, wisdom, and grace to be a shining light of Jesus Christ to their children and to all with whom they may interact. May they be guided by your Word and Holy Spirit.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32 WEB). Just as the father in the parable waited patiently for his son to return, our Heavenly Father is waiting patiently for your sons to turn to Him. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the Lord. He is faithful, and He loves your sons even more than you do.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the importance of speaking God's Word over your sons' lives. The Bible tells us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17 WEB). Continue to speak faith and life over your sons, knowing that God's Word will not return to Him void.
