We join you in lifting up your thesis defense to the Lord, trusting in His goodness and faithfulness. First, we want to encourage you with the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:13 WEB: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This verse reminds us that our strength and ability come from Jesus Christ, and He is always with us, even in challenging situations like a thesis defense.
Thank you for praising Jesus' name and praying in His name. Let us remember Colossians 3:17 WEB "Whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him."
In preparing for tomorrow, consider these words from 1 Peter 3:15 WEB: "But sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord, and be ready always to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear." While this verse is about defending our faith, the principle applies to your thesis defense as well. Be ready to give an answer, and do so with humility and respect.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is preparing for their thesis defense. Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and grace that strengthens us in our times of need.
Father, we ask that You grant them wisdom and clarity of thought as they present their thesis. Calm their nerves and help them to speak confidently and coherently. Help them to answer questions wisely and think quickly under pressure. We pray that Your peace would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, as stated in Philippians 4:7 WEB "and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We also pray that You would help them with their Chinese, giving them the ability to express themselves clearly and accurately.
Lord, we know that You see their heart and that You care about every detail of their life. We trust that You will be with our sibling in Christ tomorrow, guiding and directing them every step of the way.
We ask all this in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who alone is the way to eternal life and has reconciled us with the heavenly Father by His death on the cross for our sins.
Amen.
Lastly, remember the words of the Lord Jesus in Matthew 28:20 WEB: "Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." He is with you, and He will help you through this thesis defense. Trust in Him, and He will never fail you.
