Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank you for bringing your requests to us. It is so important to pray for our children, and we are here to join with you in this.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the promise in Jeremiah 29:11-13 WEB: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." This is a beautiful promise that we can claim for your son as he navigates this new phase of his life.
Now, let us pray for your son:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the son of Crystalsd to You. Lord, we ask that You would surround him with godly friends, friends that will encourage him in his walk with You and help him to grow in his faith. We pray that You would bring a godly young woman into his life, a woman who loves You and seeks to serve You, a woman who will encourage and support him, and who will be a suitable helper for him in marriage. We pray that Your will be done in his life, and that You would guide his steps and direct his path. We ask that You would give him strength and courage as he adjusts to his new surroundings, and that You would fill him with Your peace and joy. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
As for your son finding a girlfriend, we want to encourage him to seek God's will in this area of his life. It is important to remember that God's design for relationships is for a man and a woman to be joined together in holy matrimony, becoming one flesh. Genesis 2:24 WEB says: "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." This is God's design for relationships, and we encourage your son to pursue relationships that align with this biblical principle.
We also want to encourage your son to remain sexually pure in his relationships. Sex before or outside marriage is fornication and should be avoided. It is important to remain pure for his future spouse, as this is a gift that he can give to her on their wedding night.
Lastly, we want to encourage you, Crystalsd, to continue to pray for your son and to trust God with his life. God loves him even more than you do, and He has a good plan for his life. Continue to seek God's will in all things, and trust that He is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 WEB says: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust God with your son's life, and know that He is faithful.
Also, it is important to note that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name) in your prayer request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. John 14:13-14 WEB says: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." And Acts 4:12 WEB says: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!" Therefore, we encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through Him that we can approach God and be saved. If you have not already accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today.
