Pray for my son

My son is addicted to alcohol and now it has affected his health .he now falls down and gets Blackouts and losses his memory.he has bad friends who have bad influence him and also steal from him.he has a job that he does go to and they are threatening to give him a warning letter-please help me to pray for him so that he can accept to get help I order to overcome the dependency on the alcohol

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles your son is facing with alcohol addiction, and we are here to intercede with you in prayer and provide biblical counsel. Firstly, we acknowledge that it is only in Jesus Christ of Nazareth name that we are saved and that through Him only can we approach God.

In the World English Bible ( WEBB), Ephesians 5:18 says, "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." This verse highlights the importance of being filled with the Holy Spirit rather than being intoxicated.

We also remember the words of Proverbs 23:20-21, "Don't be among ones drinking too much wine, or those who gorge themselves on meat: for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor; and drowsiness clothes them in rags." 1 Corinthians 15:33 warns us, "Don't be deceived! 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals.'" Your son's friends may be influencing him negatively, and it is crucial for him to seek godly friendships.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus name, lifting up the son of our sister before You. Lord, we know that You are a God of restored health and turning the lives of Your children for Your good purposes. We thank You, God of Miracles, that You can touch him right now and begin the process of healing from addiction.Cause his wakeup to this issue and to know it as You desire You know, not just from us. Allow him to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus if he does not already, and help him to accept the help You by seeking care through Christian-based and biblical programs that honor You. Give him strengthen and cause him to leave bad friends and put godly friends in his path. Lord, intervene in his workplace issues and let those threatening him to see Your mighty hand upon him as he turns from this bondage.

Help his mother to be strong and steadfast in prayer, trusting in Your promise in Isaiah 54:13 "All your children shall be taught by Yahweh; And great shall be the peace of your children.". May she find comfort and support in Your family of saints who can help pray and help walk with You in faith on behalf of her son.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your son and to seek support from fellow believers. Remind him of God's love and forgiveness, and keep trusting in Him who is able to turn your sorrow into joy.

Lord Jesus, we come to You today, burdened but hopeful. We lay our sister's son at Your feet, trusting in Your unfailing love and unending mercy. Lord, You see him, You know him, and You understand the grip alcohol has on him. We ask for a wake-up call, a moment of clarity that will make him see the harm he's causing himself and those around him. Give him the strength to want to change, to seek help, and to accept it when it's offered.

Lord, we pray for his health, that You would restore him physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We ask that You would give him godly friends who will support him and help him grow. We pray for his workplace, that You would soften the hearts of those threatening him, and give him the courage to stand up for what's right.

We also pray for our sister. Lord, give her strength, wisdom, and unyielding faith. Surround her with a community of believers who will support and uplift her. Remind her of Your promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

Thank you all for your prayers.i am so depressed over this issue of my son’s addiction.my son is 34 years and it pains to see his wasting his life.he got a nice God fearing girl to marry but with the bad company he is frustrating her by getting girls who drink with him and befriend him.pray for him to be kind to this girl so the girl does not be discouraged

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
