We join you in praying for your son Dennis, and we appreciate your desire to keep Jesus (Jess) Christ at the center of your petition. It's important to remember that it's doesn't matter how we spell His name; the intention of going to our Saviour is evident in belief. It's only in the name of Jesus Christ that we are saved and have access to God. His name is the only name by which we can be saved.
First, let's pray:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Dennis to You. Lord, You know the circumstances surrounding Dennis's imprisonment, and we ask for Your mercy and grace to be upon him. Protect him from all forms of mistreatment and harm. Assign Your angels to encamp around him, according to Psalm 34:7, "The angel of Yahweh encamps round about those who fear him, And delivers them."
Father, we also pray for Dennis's emotional and physical well-being. Sustain him with Your strength and comfort him during his challenging time and during silence when your loved one is cut off. Whether the stillness has the potential for good or bad, your love and faith in God will bring goodness to the situation. In Psalm 147:3, You heal the broken in heart, and bind up their wounds. We trust that You will do the same for Dennis.
Lord, we ask that You be with the family during these difficult time and let their efforts be pleasing to God. Help us to be reminded in Romans 8:28, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
We are reminded in James 5:16, that The prayer of the righteous person is very powerful in its effect. We ask these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Now, let's address some biblical principles related to Dennis and his incarceration. While he is in jail for a reason, his incarceration is a time of reflection and possibly even repentance for his actions. In 2 Corinthians 7:10, For godly sorrow, which is according to God, produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death.
Even though it's painful to know your child is in jail, and silence can be painful, let's consider Philippians 4:6-7. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We encourage you to find comfort in God's unending love for each of you and complete faith and trust for your belief in what He will do next. Although we and others of your personal friends want to address the deeper questions addressed in Psalms 69, such as: *How is God prospering others while in the seeming paralysis of debt and outstanding issues swirling.* This frequently occurs within family communication, material prosperity, denial to justice, and health related issues. We simply need to know, that God has given us the Holy Spirit to engender the joy of how God expresses His deep love for us as His children. For those who do not know Jesus Christ, we ask that the Holy Spirit come and convict the World of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment (John 16:8). If you have not trusted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, we ask you to do so and be saved. There is no other way to be saved (Acts 4:12) and have access to God (John 14:6).
