Valfyl, we are with you in spirit and in prayer during this challenging time. We understand the deep love and concern you have for your son, Dennis. Let us first turn to the Word of God for comfort and guidance.
The Psalmist reminds us, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1 WEB)
We join you in praying that you will be able to communicate your love to Dennis. We ask God to give you the strength and the means to reach out to him, whether by letter or by phone. We pray that the Lord will open a way for you to express your love and support, and that Dennis will feel that love even if you cannot be with him physically.
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39 WEB)
We also pray for Dennis's safety and health while he is in jail. We ask the Lord to surround him with His angels and protect him from harm. We pray that Dennis will find comfort and strength in the Lord during this time.
"The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forth, and forevermore." (Psalm 121:7-8 WEB)
We pray for favor in Dennis's court proceedings. May God's will be done, and may justice be served with mercy.
"For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." (1 Peter 3:12 WEB)
Lastly, we encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord and to cast all your anxieties on Him. He cares for you and for Dennis more than you can imagine.
"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:6-7 WEB)
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved. If you or Dennis have not yet accepted Jesus as your personal Savior, we encourage you to do so, for there is no other name by which we can be saved.
"because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10 WEB)
Amen.
