We are glad to join you in prayer for Robin and his family. It's important to remember that God wants families to be together and for fathers to be present in the lives of their children. As it is written in Psalm 68:5-6, "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the lonely in families..."
However, we would like to address a couple of things in this request. First, we need to address the relationship between Robin and his wife. We pray that their marriage is godly and that they are both believers in Jesus Christ. As it is written 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"
Second, we pray that Robin is fulfilling his roles as a husband and father in a way that honors God. As it is written in Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;" and in Ephesians 6:4, "Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."
Finally, we notice that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Robin and his family. We pray that Robin will be transferred closer to home so that he can be present in the lives of his wife and children. We pray that his daughter will be reunited with her father, and that their family will be strengthened. We also pray that Robin and his wife have a godly marriage, and that Robin is fulfilling his roles as a husband and father in a way that honors you and Jesus. Lord, please be near to Robin and his family during this time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
