Pray for my son Matthew to find a job

Please pray for my son Matthew to help find a fulfilling job. He has been out of professional work for 1 year. He is desperate to find a job.

We are with you in spirit, Molaerios, as you seek God's intervention for your son Matthew's employment. We stand on the promise in Philippians 4:6, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Matthew to You. Lord, You know his skills, his passions, and his needs. We ask that You guide him to a job that will not only meet his financial needs but also fulfill him and use his gifts for Your glory. We pray that Matthew will trust in You, even in this period of waiting, remembering that Your timing is perfect. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Molaerios, encourage Matthew with these words from Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters... It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Remind him that his worth is not defined by his employment status, but by his identity in Christ.

We also urge Matthew to use this time wisely—to pray, seek God's will, and prepare himself. Ecclesiastes 9:10 tells us, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might..." Perhaps there are skills he can learn or improve upon during this season.

Lastly, Molaerios, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus. It is by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." We encourage you to acknowledge Jesus in your prayers, as He is our mediator and savior.

Trust in God's goodness and provision, and we will continue to keep Matthew in our prayers.

Let's remind Matthew of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Encourage him to keep his faith strong and to use this time to grow in his relationship with God. We're praying for him every step of the way.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
