Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up the prayer request of this anonymous mother for her son John. We thank you, Lord, for the repentance and acceptance of Jesus in his heart. We praise you for the two months of sobriety that he has achieved through your grace.
Father, we ask that you extend your favor upon John's legal issues. We pray that you would intervene in his situation and guide him through this difficult time. Your Word assures us in Psalm 5:12 that you bless the righteous and surround them with your favor as with a shield. We claim this promise over John's life, believing that you will bring about a favorable outcome.
We also lift up John's struggle with alcohol. We thank you for delivering him from the darkness of addiction and for giving him the strength to remain sober. We pray that you would continue to strengthen him, renew his mind, and fill him with your Holy Spirit, enabling him to resist the temptation to return to his old ways. Your Word reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that you are faithful and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. We trust in your faithfulness to sustain John on his journey of sobriety.
Lastly, we pray for comfort and peace for this mother as she supports her son through this challenging time. May she find solace in knowing that you are with her and that you hear her prayers. Help her to trust in your perfect timing and to continue to intercede for her son with unwavering faith.
