We understand your concern for your son-in-law and we will stand with you in prayer during this challenging time. However, we want to remind you of the importance of righteous living and the consequences of sin, as the Bible teaches us, "Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." (Galatians 6:7 WEB)
We must also acknowledge that involvement in drugs is not only illegal but also a sin against our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit. As it is written, "Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God." (Galatians 5:19-21 WEB)
Let us pray for your son-in-law, that he may repent, turn away from his transgressions, and seek God's forgiveness and grace. We pray that the court proceedings will be fair and just, and that this situation will serve as a wake-up call for him to change his ways and live a life pleasing to God.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our brother who is currently facing the consequences of his actions. We ask that You grant him repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved. Help him to turn away from his sins and to seek Your forgiveness. We pray for wisdom and discernment for the judge and all those involved in this case, that justice may be served.
Lord, we also pray for comfort and strength for our sister Katabalizo and her family during this difficult time. Help them to trust in You and to find peace in the knowledge that You are sovereign and in control of all things.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, Katabalizo, that God is always ready to forgive and restore those who come to Him with a humble and contrite heart. Encourage your son-in-law to seek God's face and to trust in His mercy and grace. As it is written, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 WEB)
