Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and approach God the Father in prayer.
We lift up Christopher to the Lord, praying for divine intervention in his life. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict Christopher's heart and lead him to repentance from his marijuana use, for it is written, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.". (1 Peter 5:8 WEB) We know that God desires for Christopher to have a sound mind and to be free from any substance that would hinder his walk with the Lord. It is clear we are told "Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit". (Ephesians 5:17-18 WEB) which are consistent with drugs as a vice and dissipating God's temple (1 Corinthians 3:16-17 WEB).
We pray for Christopher's safety and for the Lord's protection over his life. Let us 'not be anxious but let the requests be made known to God' (Philippians 4:6 WEB) to help with Christopher's mental health issues. Let us pray for the healing and renewing of his mind and for God to give both us and Christopher wisdom and guidance to see God’s purposes without impairment and with healing, prayer, meditation, discernment, and to be obedient to God as to how to trust in Him for this. As it is written, "The LORD will give you rest from your sorrow, and from your fear, and from the hard bondage in which you were made to serve." (Isaiah 14:3 WEB) and "May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Thessalonians 5:23 WEB).
We also pray for Empheinos, that the Lord would grant them peace, strength, and wisdom as they support Christopher through this time. We know that God hears our prayers and is faithful to act according to His will. As it is written, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). We know that we must trust in God to help to straighten out Christopher's path and can corporately plead for God's intervention together. We ask and pray all these things together with the leading and in the name of Jesus Christ.
