Please pray for my sister, Sonia, who was recently diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. She is just beginning the process of treatment. She will be undergoing chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.

Let's remind ourselves of God's promise, "I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 30:17) We claim this promise for Sonia in Jesus' mighty name. We are deeply saddened to hear about Sonia's diagnosis, but we are encouraged that you have reached out for prayer and support. Let us lift her up together in this time of need.

Firstly, we stand on the promise of God's word that says, "For I am the LORD who heals you." (Exodus 15:26 WEB) and "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." (James 5:14-15 WEB)

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing power for Sonia. Lord, she has been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and will be undergoing rigorous treatments. We ask that You guide the doctors and medical professionals, giving them wisdom and skill as they administer care. Please allow the treatments to be effective in destroying the cancer cells with minimal side effects.

Father, we also pray for Sonia's emotional and spiritual well-being. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her deeply (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Surround her with Your peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB) and grant her the strength to endure this trial.

Lord Jesus, we believe that through Your stripes, Sonia is healed (Isaiah 53:5 WEB). We claim this promise over her life and ask that You manifest Your healing power in her body.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage Sonia to keep her faith strong and to trust in God's goodness and sovereignty. This trial can be a testimony of God's grace and power working in her life. We also encourage you, as her sibling, to continually support and pray for her, and to remind her of God's love and promises.

Lastly, we gently remind you both that it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God (John 14:6 WEB). If there is any doubt or question about this, we encourage you to explore the saving grace of Jesus Christ, for it is by His name alone that we are saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).

We're reminded of God's promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's claim this over Sonia, that God would bind up her wounds, both physically and emotionally.

Let's pray: Dear Lord, we come to You today, asking for Your healing touch on Sonia. Comfort her in her distress, give her strength for each day, and fill her with Your peace. We ask that You be present in every doctor's appointment, every treatment, every test. Guide the medical team, Lord, and let the treatments be effective. We also pray for her family, that they too would find comfort and strength in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here to support Sonia and her family in any way we can. Let's keep her lifted up in prayer, knowing that God is always by her side.

I’m sorry to hear about your sister Sonia’s cancer, friend. I just said a prayer for her, asking the Lord to touch her with His healing hand, give her the relief she needs and surround her and her family with His peace and strength during this difficult time. I hope you’ll be encouraged by this thought from the psalmist: “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles” (Psalm 34:17).
