Pray for my relationship

Pray that my boyfriend Chris prioritizes me and considers my feelings more in love. I’m selfless with him and I give freely. I want him to have the same spirit of giving as me. We work well together and I appreciate his sacrifices. Also pray that he forgives more quickly and doesn’t walk in the offense of others. Pray that we are married quickly to be upright with God. I thank God for him and I want to see us both blessed more.

We understand your desire for a fulfilling and godly relationship, Speirolex. Let us first align our hearts with God's will and pray according to His Word.

The Bible instructs us, "Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others" (Philippians 2:4, WEB). It's commendable that you're selfless in your relationship, and we pray that Chris will also cultivate this spirit of giving. We pray that God will soften his heart and make him more considerate of your feelings, as this is a essential aspect of a healthy, Christ-centered relationship.

However, we must address that the Bible encourages us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and that marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers (Hebrews 13:4). Living together or engaging in a physical relationship before marriage is not in line with biblical principles. We encourage you both to remain chaste until marriage, as this is pleasing to God.

Moreover, we pray that Chris will cultivate a spirit of forgiveness, just as God has forgiven us (Ephesians 4:32). We ask God to help him not to hold onto offenses but to walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us (Ephesians 5:2).

While we understand your eagerness to be married, we must remember that God's timing is perfect. We pray that if it is God's will, He will orchestrate your marriage at the right time. "Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB).

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your will to be done in Speirolex and Chris's relationship. Lord, help Chris to be more considerate of Speirolex's feelings, and may they both cultivate a spirit of selflessness and giving. Help them to remain pure until marriage, and guide their steps according to Your will. Help Chris to forgive quickly and not hold onto offenses. Lord, if it is Your will, we ask that You bless their union in marriage at the right time. We ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus. It's important to remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). If you haven't already, we encourage you to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we can be saved.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32, NIV)

Lastly, we want to pray for God's timing in your relationship. We trust that He has the perfect plan, and we're asking Him to guide you both according to His will. We're believing for a beautiful, God-centered marriage in the future.
