We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you're facing in your relationship. Firstly, we want to remind you that God desires that all people come to saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, which is also the power of God to all believers. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We will pray together with you. As believers, we are instructed to pray in the name of Jesus Christ.
In moments like these, it's crucial to align our hearts and minds with God's will and seek His guidance above all else. We should remember that as believers we are to only be with other believers.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister who is going through a tough time in her relationship. We pray that You will grant her peace, wisdom, and discernment as she navigates this challenging season. We ask that You will soften her boyfriend's heart and draw him to a relationship with you.
Help them to communicate effectively, to forgive each other as You forgive us, and to seek Your will above their own desires. We ask of you to be in the middle of this relationship.
We pray especially that they will seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, together, as a couple. We pray that if there is any sexual activity going on before marriage that You will convict them of this and help them to stop.
Lord, we know that You hate divorce and desire marriages to reflect the love between Christ and the Church. If You will it, we pray for a miraculous restoration of their relationship. Equally, we pray for them to have the strength to bear the outcome, if it is Your will that this relationship should end, rather than for them to be unequally yoked.
We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
While we pray for your relationship, we also want to encourage you to seek God's face earnestly. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Trust that He is working everything out for your good, even when it's painful and confusing.
Take comfort in these verses:
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and don’t lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Don’t be anxious about anything; but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
Philippians 4:6
Lastly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He will not leave you nor forsake you. He is the ultimate source of comfort and love, and He will see you through this trial.
