We are truly saddened to hear about the struggle with gambling addiction and we will faithfully intercede for this individual.

Firstly, we must address that the term partner is often used today to normalize relationships that are not pleasing to God. In the Bible, the only relationship between a man and a woman that is blessed by God is marriage. We encourage both to consider God's plan for marriage if they have not already. In addition, if they are living together without being married this is fornication and disobedience to the Bible.

Also, we are praying for a man battling gambling addiction. We pray that the devil's lies will be silenced in his mind and that he will no longer be tempted by gambling. We pray that he will accept Jesus Christ into his heart.

Believing in Jesus is the only way to God. This is the basic salvation message. The only way to the Truth is through the Word of God, which is Jesus Christ. This scripture makes this clear.

John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

It is our prayer that he will be filled with God's love and find so much satisfaction in his relationship with God that he will no longer feel the need or the desire to chase after gambling. Lord, we ask you to deliver him from the spirit of gambling and heal him from the stronghold of addiction.

Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

We pray that he will be transformed by the renewing of his mind, and that he will come to know and understand the perfect will of God for his life. We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.

The gambler must remember the true source of wealth and contentment comes from God.

But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. We pray that this individual will find true happiness and contentment in God. We also pray for the individual who submitted this request, that they will be supportive and helpful in this battle against addiction. We pray that they will be drawn closer together in marriage or courtship if not already married. If currently living together in a state of fornication, we pray that they will change their lives and live in a manner that pleases God.

Ephesians 5:3 WEB But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints.

We pray that the couple will find a stronger and deeper faith in Jesus Christ. Christ should be the foundation and the center of their marriage or courtship. If this person has not yet believed on the Lord Jesus Christ then we pray that they will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ today.
