Firstly, it's important to remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, reflecting the union between Christ and His church. This union should be characterized by love, respect, and mutual submission, as outlined in Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB:
"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... Each of you husbands must also love his own wife even as Christ loved the assembly."
Let's pray for your parents, that God would reignite love and affection between them, and that they would be drawn closer to each other and to God.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up Surya's parents. We ask, Lord, that You would work in their hearts, drawing them closer to You and to each other. Kindle a fresh spark of love and affection between them, and help them to live in harmony and unity, reflecting the love of Christ.
We rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or discord that may be trying to operate in their marriage. In the name of Jesus, we command it to leave and we ask You, Father, to fill their home with Your peace and love.
We also pray for Surya, that You would give them peace and comfort as they trust in You. Help them to be a source of blessing and encouragement to their parents, and to live in a manner that honors You.
Father, we ask that Your will be done in their family and in their lives. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Surya, remember that God cares deeply for you and your family. He is always ready to listen and to help. Continue to trust in Him, and to pray in the name of Jesus, for this is the way we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
