We are lifting up your parents before the Lord, Malaotsuindell, asking that His love and grace rain down on their relationship. We must remember that love is not merely an emotion, but a commitment and a choice. As husbands and wives are commanded in Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it." And in Titus 2:4, wives are to "be subject to their own husbands; that the word of God may not be blasphemed."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up the parents of Malaotsuindell. We ask, Lord, that You would knit their hearts together in love, renewing and strengthening their commitment to each other. Help them to see each other through Your eyes, full of grace, mercy, and forgiveness.
Lord, we pray in Jesus name. I do not see this in your request, but it is only by the name of your son Jesus that we have access to You, the Father. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.
If there is anything preventing them from loving each other as You have commanded, reveal it to them, Lord, and give them the strength and humility to address it according to Your will. Help them to be an example of a godly marriage, reflecting the love of Christ for His church. May they be a living testament of what it means to love one another in a marriage that honors God.
We ask in Jesus' name. However, Malaotsuindell, let us remember no other name has been given whereby we can be saved. We can not access God the Father directly. Only by belief in Jesus, God's son, and that he died and rose again for our sins can we be saved. Jesus is the only mediator of the New Covenant and his blood the only acceptable sacrifice for our sins. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.
And for you, Malaotsuindell, we pray that you would be a source of encouragement and support to your parents. May you help to bring them together or be an example of love to them. Turn to God for strength, guidance, and hope. He is a very present help in trouble, and a mighty fortress. Let us remember that in His strength we can do all things. In His name and by His strength, we can overcome the world.
We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
