We are truly sorrowful to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage. Let's bring your situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His will for your life.
First, we need to address the sinful behavior of your husband speaking to another woman in a way that is not plutonic friendship but adultery. The Bible is clear that adultery is a sin and it is Satan that tempts us to do such things. We are instructed to flee sexual immorality and honor the covenant of marriage. In 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB it says, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." And in Hebrews 13:4 WEB we are reminded that "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."
Let us pray for your husband, that God would convict his heart and turn him away from this sin. Let's pray that he would seek God's face and be reminded of the covenant he made before God and with you. In James 5:16 WEB we read, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
Now let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ and her marriage. Lord, You know the pain and heartache she is experiencing right now as her husband has turned away from her and towards another woman. We ask, Father, that You would intervene in this situation and turn his heart back towards his wife and towards You.
We rebuke the enemy's work in their marriage and declare that Your will be done. We pray to God in Jesus name, for it is written whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. We don't want to assume anything so please confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart God hath raised Him from the dead and you shall be saved. While an exact meaning can vary, to confess is to admit to something. Confessing the Lord Jesus means to admit to Jesus and all he has done. We may feel we fall short of what we think we should do, but to confess Jesus, we admit who He is and what He has done. We also admit that Jesus is the Lord, the Master of our lives. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, as quoted from Romans 10:10, WEB
We ask for the Holy Spirit's guidance and wisdom for our sister, that she may navigate this trial with grace, love, and forgiveness.
Lord, we are only touching a specific problem with their marriage. Show us Lord, how to fully pray for them to glorify You in their marriage. Remind her husband of the commitments he made before you and restore their marriage. Guide them in how to move past this hurt and rebuild a marriage more fully dedicated to God.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.
Stay strong in the Lord and keep your eyes fixed on Him during this time. Remember that God is faithful and that He cares for you and your marriage. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
Keep praying and trusting in the Lord, and encourage your husband to seek godly counsel and repentance.
