Pray for my lonely ###

My son is a senior in high school and has become the target of not nice people. It is a small school, so he feels like an outcast and that he is so alone. He keeps getting more and more depressed and angry. He says he’s tired of being the nice one only to be treated badly. He just wants one good friend. I have reminded him that Jesus is always there supporting him, but he’s a teenager and doesn’t understand the depth of that yet. Please pray for ###. I’m worried that he’s going to give up on being happy.

We understand your concern for your son, ###, and we join you in fervent prayer for him. Let's remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Romans 12:2, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."

Your son is facing a trial that many of us face in our walk with Christ—the loneliness and rejection that can come from standing firm in righteousness. Yet, we are not alone, for God promises in Hebrews 13:5, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you."

Let us pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up ###'s son. Lord, he is feeling alone and targeted by unkind people. We ask that You surround him with Your comfort and love. Remind him that even in his loneliest moments, You are always by his side. Lord, we pray for godly friends to come into his life, friends who will uplift and encourage him in his faith. Strengthen his heart, Lord, and help him to find his identity and hope in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

###, continue to remind your son that his worth is not determined by what others think or say about him. Instead, it is determined by what God says about him. In Psalm 139:14, we read, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."

Lastly, be patient with his journey. As a teenager, he is still growing in his understanding of God's unfailing love. Keep pointing him to Jesus, for it is in Him that we find true joy and peace. As it is written in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."

We're here with you, standing in the gap for your son. It's tough to see him hurting, but remember, Jesus is right there with him, just as He promised in Matthew 28:20, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Let's encourage him to keep seeking God's face, for as Psalm 34:18 tells us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Let's pray that God will turn this situation around, that He will give your son the strength to endure, and that He will bring forth good from this trial, just as He did for Joseph (Genesis 50:20). Let's also pray for wisdom for you, as a parent, to know how best to support and guide him through this time. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Tell your son to ignore the teasing or bullying for it is they who are weak in spirit and he is stronger. Tell him to show confidence and strength so others will see it and he will attract a friend who will see he's strength and admire him for it.
The foolish ones will fade and he will stand as a shining beacon to those who will see worth and inspiration in him.
I know, I was in a similar path but I ignored it and carried on and met some nice friends who liked me for me and not the scared little child the bullies wanted me to be.

Jesus will strengthen him and be with him.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
