We understand your distress, Hockwallader, and we're here to lift you up in prayer and provide biblical guidance. You've mentioned that you're struggling to find happiness, employment, and a way to express your talents. Firstly, let's remember the words of Jesus in John 16:33 (WEB), "I have told you these things, that in me, you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Hockwallader. Lord, they are feeling lost, unable to find happiness, work, or a way to express their talents. We pray that You will guide them to the right opportunities, according to Your will. We ask for Your comfort and peace to fill their heart, knowing that in You, they can find true joy and contentment. We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and despair, claiming victory in Jesus' name. Amen."
We encourage you, Hockwallader, to keep trusting in God, even in this trying time. Remember, God has a plan and a purpose for your life, as it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), "'For I know the plans that I have for you,' says Yahweh. 'Plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
Lastly, we noticed that you did not mention Jesus Christ in your request. We believe that it's only through His name that we can approach God and be saved (Acts 4:12). If you haven't already, we encourage you to learn more about Jesus and the salvation He offers.

Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness.
