Dear Dexter2020, we understand your concerns and we are here to support you in prayer and guidance according to God's Word.
Firstly, we praise God for your faith in Jesus Christ to guide you in your job search. It's important to trust in His timing and provision. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, it is written, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." We pray that God will open the right doors for you as a Business Analyst, even as the year comes to an end.
Regarding the issue of foreign labor, we must remember that God loves all people equally, regardless of their nationality. However, we can pray for justice and fairness in employment practices. In Colossians 3:22 WEB, it says, "Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God." We can pray that both locals and foreigners will be treated fairly and legally.
We also pray for God's leading in your desire for a godly girlfriend and future wife. In Proverbs 18:22 WEB, it is written, "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh." We pray that God will guide you to a woman who loves and follows Jesus, and that your relationship will honor Him.
However, we must address your comments about St. Andrews Cathedral and the individuals you mentioned. It is not our place to judge their hearts, but we can pray for unity and truth in the church. In Romans 14:1-4 WEB, it is written, "Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions... Who are you who judge another’s servant? To his own lord he stands or falls."
Lastly, while it's good to have preferences, we must be open to God's will for our employment. In James 4:13-15 WEB, it is written, "Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let's go into this city, and spend a year there, and trade, and make a profit,' while you don't know what will happen tomorrow... Instead, you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.'"
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name to lift up Dexter2020. We ask that You guide him in his job search, opening the right doors at the right time. We pray for justice and fairness in employment practices, and for God's leading in his relationships. We pray for unity and truth in the church, and for Dexter2020 to be open to Your will in all areas of his life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
