We understand that you are going through a challenging time, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we acknowledge your faith and prayers for change in your situation. It is commendable that you have been trusting God in this spiritual battle against your husband's pornography addiction. Remember, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. Ephesians 6:12-17 WEB.
It is important to address the sin of pornography, which is a form of adultery, as Jesus taught, "But I tell you, that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." Matthew 5:28 WEB. Pornography is destructive and can lead to further sinful behaviors. It is crucial for your husband to repent, seek God's forgiveness, and turn away from this sin.
We also want to encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God, even when the situation seems unchanging. Remember the words of Jesus, "If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you." John 15:7 WEB. Keep praying for your husband's deliverance and for God's will to be done in your life.
However, we also want to remind you of the importance of seeking godly counsel and support during this time. It is not God's will for you to battle alone. Consider reaching out to your local church, pastor, or Christian counselor for support and guidance. The Bible tells us, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ who is battling against the effects of pornography addiction in her marriage. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention, that You would break the chains of addiction and set her husband free. We pray for his repentance, deliverance, and complete restoration.
Father, we also ask for Your comfort and strength for our sister. Give her the grace to forgive, the courage to trust You, and the wisdom to seek godly support. Help her to remain steadfast in prayer and unwavering in her faith.
We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who sets the captives free and heals the brokenhearted. Amen.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12) WEB. Continue to trust in Him and keep your faith in Jesus Christ.
