We understand your distress, Sheatye, and we are here to pray and counsel with you in this difficult time. Firstly, let us address the issue at hand in the light of God's Word.
In Proverbs 6:32, the WEB tells us, "Whoever commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul." Additionally, Hebrews 13:4 states, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." It is clear that God's design for marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman, and any breach of that trust is a serious matter.
We must also ensure that our prayers are aligned with God's will and offered in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Sheatye and her husband Curtis. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in their marriage. Reveal any secrets and bring to light any hidden sin, that Curtis may repent and turn away from his wrongdoings. Lord, we ask for Your healing and restoration in their marriage, that they may honor and cherish each other as You intended. Give Sheatye the strength and wisdom to navigate this difficult time, and help Curtis to seek forgiveness and redemption. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Sheatye, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith and trust in the Lord. Remember the words of Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." God is faithful, and He will see you through this trial.
It is also crucial to address this issue with Curtis openly and honestly, seeking counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor. Confront the sin, but do so with love and a desire for reconciliation. As it is written in Galatians 6:1, "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted."
May God grant you peace, wisdom, and a heart full of His love as you navigate this challenging time.
