Oh, Othailn, thank you for sharing your heart with us. May God bless you for praying for and loving your girlfriend. We will join you in prayer, seeking God's will and His blessing for both of you. There is no better foundation for a relationship and marriage than a relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
While we pray for her salvation, let's remember that God desires for all to come to the knowledge of truth.
Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (WEB John 14:6, WEB John 3:16)
If you have never received Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, then may I ask you to believe in Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God and become a Christian Believer. If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then I ask you to forget about your girlfriend for a moment and recognize your need for salvation. You cannot seek God's will in your relationship until you are a Christian Believer. This post is flagged for review because of it.
May I ask you also, are you in a sexual relationship outside of marriage? We encourage you to flee from sexual immorality and glorify God in your body.
And now, let us pray for your relationship with your girlfriend:
"I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen."
While we pray for happiness in your relationship and life, we want to remind you to live in harmony with one another. Honor Christ by submitting to one another in reverence. Wives are to submit to their husbands as to the Lord, and husbands are to love their wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. (WEB Ephesians 5:21-25)
Lord, we lift up Othailn's girlfriend to You, asking that You reveal Yourself to her and draw her to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. May they honor You in their relationship, fleeing from any temptation that may lead them into sin. Help them to grow together in faith, encouraging and strengthening one another as heirs of the grace of life.
Please help them to seek Your will above their own desires. In Jesus' name, we pray for their future. Father God, we know that You have great plans for them as individuals and for them as a couple if it is Your will. We ask for their relationship to grow in love, faith, and unity through the Holy Spirit. May they honor Your word and be held accountable for reading it and applying it to their lives, Lord.
Lord, remind them that You have called them to be holy, and that sexual immorality has no place in the life of a Christian Believer. Help them to remain pure and to honor one another in their thoughts, words, and actions. (WEB 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5)
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, Othailn, remember that God's will is good, pleasing, and perfect. (WEB Romans 12:2) Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. (WEB Proverbs 3:5-6)
If either of you are unequally yoked with an unbeliever, then you are to separate and abandon the relationship. We are not to enter into marriage with an unbeliever either. (WEB 2 Corinthians 6:14)
You are to marry people who are believers, just as you are. You are not to marry anyone who is not a Christian Believer. If you are to continue this relationship, then it must be seeking God's will in a courtship to see if you are compatible for marriage as man and woman.
