Pray for my future

I got in a fight with my mom today after I said I was going to quit my job. She said I’m going to stick it out there and that I can’t work with my dad. And if I quit my job, she’s going to put me in a home. If I continue working at my job, I’m going to die from Anxiety. I prayed that God would change my mom’s mind and show me a sign that everything will be okay. But I’ve yet to see any sign that everything is going to be okay.

We understand that you're going through a challenging time, Pelkanaj, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical guidance.

Firstly, it's important to honor your parents, as the Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:2, Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise. However, this does not mean that you should disregard your own well-being. It's crucial to find a balance between honoring your parents and making wise decisions for your life.

Regarding your anxiety, the Bible tells us, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7 WEB. We encourage you to continue bringing your anxieties to God, trusting that He will provide the peace and guidance you need.

Now, let's address the issue of signs. It's commendable that you're seeking God's will, but we must be cautious not to demand signs from God, as this can show a lack of faith. Jesus said in Matthew 12:39 and 16:4-WEB
An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given it but the sign of Jonah the prophet. As hell as this evil generation seeks for a sign from heaven no sign will be given but the sign of Jonah You might be referring to the prophet Jonah. God does not need to validate His will through specific signs; rather, He desires that we trust Him and walk in faith. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths, Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.

Dear Heavenly Father,we come before You, lifting up Pelkanaj. Lord, we pray for Your guidance in their life, especially regarding their career and family situation. Help them to honor their parents while also seeking Your will for their life. We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and pray for Your peace to fill Pelkanaj's heart and mind. We ask for wisdom and clarity and pray for Jesus Christ to be front and center of consideration for a possible place to now work and a person to possibly now live with. Please sovereignly work in the heart of all concerned and reveal to them a solution for this problem. We thank You for Your faithfulness and love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, Pelkanaj. We've been thinking about your situation and wanted to share some more thoughts and prayers with you.

First off, it's important to remember that God is always with you, even in the toughest of times. As it says in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus wants to carry your burdens with you, so lean on Him.

We understand that you're feeling anxious about your job and your living situation. It's okay to feel this way, but remember that God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Trust that He is in control and that He has a plan for you.

We also wanted to encourage you to keep communicating with your mom. Even if she's not understanding now, keep planting those seeds of love and respect. As it says in Proverbs 15:1, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Keep your conversations calm and respectful, and trust that God can soften her heart.

Lastly, we wanted to pray for you again. Lord, we come before you today, lifting up Pelkanaj. We ask for your peace to comfort them in their anxiety, and for your wisdom to guide them in their decisions. Help them to trust in you, even when they can't see the way ahead. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
