We are grateful for the opportunity to pray for your friend and offer guidance during this time of fasting and prayer. The dreams your friend is experiencing are a spiritual attack, tempting them in a time when they are seeking to draw closer to God. We read in Ephesians 6:12 WEB, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
The enemy is attempting to distract and derail your friend's focus on God. In Matthew 26:41 WEB, we are warned, Watch and pray, that you don't enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
The way forward is to remain steadfast in prayer and fasting, and to resist these temptations. In James 4:7 WEB, we are told, Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of need. Lord, we rebuke the enemy's attempts to distract and tempt during this holy time of fasting and prayer. Strengthen our friend's resolve to resist these temptations and remain focused on You. Give them the power and discernment to overcome these attacks, and to draw even closer to You in this time.
Lord Jesus, You were tempted in every way like us, yet You remained sinless. Help our friend to follow Your example. We ask for Your divine protection over their mind and heart. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
Another issue we would like to address is that Jesus Christ was not mentioned in your request. We can only come to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved. We must be believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in order to be saved.
Acts 4:12 WEB, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
