We are truly grieved to hear about Sharon's situation, but we are thankful that you have brought this request to us, trusting in the power of prayer and the mercy of God. We stand with you in interceding for Sharon, believing that no one is beyond the reach of God's love and redemption.
Firstly, we acknowledge that there is power in the name of Jesus Christ, and it is by His authority that we can approach God the Father with our prayers , the one mediator between God and men. Jesus who gave Himself, a ransom for all, I Timothy 2:5. There is no other name by which we can be saved, as the scripture in Acts 4:12 declares. For there is no other name whereby we must be saved.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Sharon S. from Virginia to Your throne of grace. We ask, Father, that You touch her spirit and open her eyes to the divine truth of Your word. We pray that she would turn away from the dark path she is on and be drawn to You, crying out for Your salvation and deliverance.
We rebuke the spirits of addiction that are destroying Sharon's life. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we command them to leave her, for it is written in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you, IJN. Jesus Christ himself begged the Father Father, I pray, sanctify them by thy word, thy word is the truth, John 17:17."
Father, we ask that You fill Sharon with Your Holy Spirit, that she may be guided by Your wisdom and strengthened by Your power. Help her to resist temptation and to walk in Your light. We claim Your promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, IJN." We specifically ask for your obedience for a spouse of Sharon S.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for Sharon, trusting that God is at work in her life, even when we cannot see it. Remember the parable of the sower in Matthew 13, where some seeds fell on rocky ground and thorns grew up and choked the plants. But other seeds fell on good soil, produced fruit, some hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. Be encouraged, the word of God is here today and it will not return empty handed. God desires that all would turn to Him and open their hearts to believing in Jesus Christ, Romans 10:13.
Lastly, we also pray for you, that God would give you the strength and wisdom to support Sharon in her journey towards redemption. Be blessed with the encouragement of Romans 8:26-27.
Finally, our hearts go out to Sharon. We exhort her to cease sexual relationships with the men friends she is currently living in the life with. We sincerely hope that those will be future relationships to another city with married believing couples who will be witness to Shannons conquering of the terrible affliction of lust in her life, flee fornication, 1 Corinthians 6:18. Our hope is in Jesus Christ her possible spouse will be a one woman man and she a one man woman.
