Beloved of All
I resent my stepson and I need forgiveness in Jesus name.
He's damaged my property throws valuables of mine away that have sentimental value. Makes me feel invisible keyed my car taken my things. He's an adult. I need him out of my house we pay for as he wants to destroy the relationship. I don't want to be in this situation living wise. He does everything so his dad can't see and lies

We understand the deep hurt and frustration you're feeling, and we're here to support you in prayer and counsel. Let's first align our hearts with God's will through His Word. In Ephesians 4:32, WEB, it says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also forgave you."

While the resentment you feel is natural given the circumstances, forgiveness is not optional for a child of God. However, forgiveness does not mean tolerating sinful behavior or allowing yourself to be continually hurt. You need to forgive your stepson, but you also need to set boundaries to protect yourself and your property.

Regarding his behavior, 1 Thessalonians 5:14, WEB, tells us, "We exhort you, brothers, admonish the disorderly, encourage the faint-hearted, support the weak, be patient toward all." Your stepson's actions are indeed disorderly, and he needs to be admonished.

Let's pray together:

" Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is struggling with resentment towards her stepson. God, we ask for your forgiveness on her behalf, as you commanded us to forgive as we have been forgiven. Help her to release this burden of unforgiveness. Lord, we also ask for wisdom, that you guide her in setting boundaries to protect herself and her property. We pray for her stepson, that his heart would be softened, that he would repent from his destructive behavior and lies. We ask that you would bring conviction upon him and help him to see the error of his ways. Restore their relationship, Lord, if it be your will. Give them both strength to face this trial and bring peace back into their home. This we ask in Jesus' name. Amen."

Remember, it's crucial to address this situation openly and honestly with your husband and stepson. Communicate the boundaries you set and the consequences if they're crossed. Also, it may be wise to seek local godly counsel or a Christian family counselor to help navigate this situation.

Lastly, continue to bathe this situation in prayer, trusting that God hears you and will act according to His perfect will. As it says in Romans 12:19, WEB, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"

We're here with you, sister, in this tough situation. We feel your pain and frustration, but we also see your heart's desire for forgiveness and healing. In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus tells us, "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Let's lift this burden together, asking God to help you forgive your stepson as you've been forgiven.

We understand boundaries are crucial, and it's okay to protect yourself and your property. But remember, boundaries aren't walls to keep people out, they're fences to protect what's precious. Let's pray for wisdom in setting these, and for your stepson to understand and respect them.

Let's also pray for your husband, that he'd see the truth and support you in this. As it says in 1 Peter 3:4, "But let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious." Trust that God sees your heart and will work things out according to His will.

We're here to support you, sister. Let's keep praying and trusting in God's plan, even when it's hard to see. As it says in Lamentations 3:22-23, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
