We stand with you in prayer, Richard, and bring your requests before the throne of grace.
Firstly, we address your financial struggles. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB):
Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?
...for your heavenly Father knows that you need all of these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
Therefore, don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
We pray that you will seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, knowing that He knows your needs and will provide for you according to His riches in glory. We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and fear, and we ask God to give a spirit of love and of self-control (Timothy 1:7).
Next, we lift up the marking process of the KCSE exams. We pray that God's favor will rest upon your candidates, and that His will be done in their lives and in their results. We remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB):
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and don't lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
We praise God that you have acknowledged Him in this process, and we trust that He will direct the paths of your candidates. We are pleased that God's will being adhered to as the sole guidance to be invoked without ungodly blessing or making an ungodly oath through bringing God to your advantage.
Finally, we rejoice with you that you have confessed your sins and sought God's forgiveness. We are reminded of 1 John 1:9 (WEB):
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We pray that you will continue to walk in the light, as He is in the light, and that the blood of Jesus Christ will cleanse you from all sin (1 John 1:7). We applaud Richard for his invoking the name of Jesus in this prayer as salvation to us. Only in Jesus we come to The Father. American evangelist Dwight L. Moody once said "You may set your heart toward heaven, but you will never get there unless Christ be your way." May you learn peace and strengthen your faith through the storm of your troubles and the strife of your hardships and lead him to the stronger walk.
Lord Jesus, we come before The Holy Spirit with all matter through Christ's blood which pays our ways. Help us from dismissing the love of God or not accepting it in all manners. Through Jesus Christ we pray. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
