We are deeply concerned to hear about the health of your father, Thomas Joseph. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's healing and comfort for him. We also thought it was good that you used the name of Jesus in your prayer request, and have faith in him to bring healing and relief to your beloved father.
In Jesus name as believers, we need to pray for him. Let us pray specifically and directly as advised in James 5:14-15 WEB:
*"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."*
We can come before the Lord with boldness, trusting in the power of Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and can find salvation.
*"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timonthy 2.5, WEB).*
As we pray, let's remember God's promises of healing and wholeness, as in Psalms 103:2-3 (WEB): "Bless Yahweh, my soul, Don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases."
**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your healing touch for Thomas Joseph. We rebuke the evil attacks, know that Jesus striped himself of all his glory and became flesh and dwelt among men, on earth in the flesh, so that man could become holy and righteous before you. We confess the healing and the holy righteousness that Jesus bought for us with his stripes. You are the same yesterday, today and forever and so is your healing and promises. You are the great physician please, heal Thomas Joseph completely. You know his every need; please strengthen his body, rid him of this bronchitis and fever, and restore his health. We plead the blood of Jesus over his life, guarding him from every attack and harm. In Jesus' holy name, Amen.**
Praying for him may bring a complete healing, but if does not, surely God could be glorified in his suffering knowing that Father God loves him and would take care of his soul. This could be an opportunity for Thomas and all of us to come closing to God and stop living in sin. We must never forget knowing that death is promised to all, and that the living should take to heart. If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to God. Romans 14.8.
We encourage Thomas to not only seek God's will in this illness, but for salvation of those around him and for the kingdom of God that he should come in a greater measure in his life. We should continue in prayer, fasting, and intercession on his behalf with the assurance that God is able to grant a miracle in his life.
