We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your family. Let's address the issues you've brought before us, guided by the light of the Scriptures.
Firstly, we acknowledge your concern for your children. The Bible is clear that homosexuality is a sin (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 1 Timothy 1:8-11, Romans 1:26-28, WEB). But remember, God loves all sinners and calls them to repentance (Romans 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9, WEB). Let's pray that your children may know the love of Christ and turn back to God.
Prayer for your children:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in the lives of this mother's children. Lord, You have said that "all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23, WEB), but that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, WEB). Lord, we confess the sins of these children, and we ask that You forgive them and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and help them to see their true identity in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of homosexuality and command it to leave. Lord, help them to turn their hearts to You and be freed from the hold of homosexuality. Lord, guide them and lead them to know Your love and Your truth. Father, we ask that You would reinstate their minds and direct them towards Your word. Guide them to seek Your kingdom first and always (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Regarding your husband, the Bible calls us to purity and honesty (Ephesians 4:25, Ephesians 5:3-4, WEB). It is important that he takes the lead in this, setting an example for your family.
Colossians 3:5-10 (WEB) says, "Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry; for which things' sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience. You also once walked in those, when you lived in them; but now you also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth. Don't lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator,"
Prayer for your husband:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We lift up this husband to You. Lord, we ask that You would help him to be pure and honest in all his ways. Lord, help him to turn away from anything that is not pleasing to You and to live for You alone. Lord, soften his heart and help him to love, appreciate, and care for his wife as You have commanded (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). Lord, help them to restore their unity in marriage, and help him to love and honor his wife as You have intended. Lord, help him to be a godly leader in his home, setting an example for his family. Lord, lead him to You and Your word.
Prayer for safety and protection:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We ask for Your protection over this family as they travel today. Lord, protect them from the storm and floodwaters, and guide them safely to their destination. Lord, we also pray for a joyful, fun, and peaceful family Easter celebration. Lord, help everyone who is included in the celebration to share the love of Jesus through their actions and words. Lord, we also ask for protection for her family and their loved ones during this bad weather and while traveling or resting. Lord, we ask that You would guard them against any evil that may try to enter their thresholds of their home.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We also pray for your husband's deliverance from any addictions or struggles with lust or infidelity.
Finally, we pray for your children's attitudes and outlook on life, that they may be positive and grow in Christ Jesus.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your family, trusting that God hears your prayers and will bring about His will in their lives. Remember the words of James 5:16 (WEB), "...The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
We also gently remind you to always pray in the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is said in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And as it is said in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
