Let us begin by thanking God for the blessings and the Holy Spirit's guidance. Scripture says in Psalm 91:1-2:
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of Yahweh, "He is my refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust."
We can trust in God's protection and guidance for this family.
We do need to address this request though. The family mentioned is seeking God's safety, blessings, and joy. However, they did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind them that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As we read in John 14:6, Jesus said,
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
We also want to remind not to plead the blood as a magical charm. It is not a magical chant that we just say to grant us safety. In the Bible, the blood of Jesus Christ is a symbol of his sacrifice on the cross for our sins. When we accept Jesus as our Savior and believe in him, his blood covers our sins and we are saved by his grace. This is explained in Ephesians 1:7,
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
We agree with them in praying for their family and in rebuking any addiction present in their family, casting it out. In Jesus' name, we pray according to Galatians 5:1:
Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family to You. We thank You for Your promises of protection, blessings, and joy. We ask that You surround this family with Your divine safety and pour out Your abundant blessings upon them. Fill their hearts with Your joy, Lord, and guide them by Your Holy Spirit.
Lord, we rebuke any addiction in this family and command it to cease in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Set this family free from any bondage and lead them in the paths of righteousness.
Father, we also pray that this family will know and trust in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. We ask that they will experience the power of His blood, which was shed for their sins, and that they will live in the freedom and victory that He has won for them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
