Beloved of All
He was my best friend and boyfriend, but broke it off with me a few weeks ago - out of the blue. I'm shattered. Devastated. He is chaotic, counterintuitive, says he loves me but loves me not, says he is scared of my love and also being abandoned, so he abandons me and sabotages it all. I do truly believe we are meant to be, and he knows it too - but is scared. He used to be married to an abusive woman, and needs healing. Please pray that the silence between us now breaks - and that he makes the courage to reach out, free from pride. Please pray for forgiveness, a new start for us. If God is willing. Thank you so much.

We understand your heartache and longing for reconciliation with your ex-boyfriend. However, we must approach this situation with wisdom and in alignment with biblical principles. Let's pray together and seek God's will for your life.

Firstly, we must remember that God's design for romantic relationships is to prepare us for marriage, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman (Matthew 19:4-6, WEB). It's crucial to evaluate whether this relationship is truly leading towards a God-honoring marriage.

Concerning your ex-boyfriend's behavior, it's important to recognize that his actions are not displaying the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23, WEB), but rather characteristics of fear, confusion, and pride. God calls us to love without fear (1 John 4:18, WEB), and to humble ourselves (1 Peter 5:6, WEB).

We must also address that the break-up occurred outside of marriage, which indicates a level of emotional and possibly physical intimacy that should be reserved for marriage alone. God's Word is clear about avoiding premarital sexual relationships (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB) and maintaining purity (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, WEB).

Let's pray for him to find true healing from his past hurts and for God's will to be done in both of your lives.

*Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this hurting heart. Please heal the emotional wounds caused by this break-up and reveal Your perfect will for this situation. Lord, we ask for Your healing power to work in his life, setting him free from fear, pride, and past abuse. Help him to seek Your face and become the godly man You desire him to be.*

*Father, if it is Your will, we ask for reconciliation and forgiveness to flow between them. But above all, Lord, help them to pursue purity and holiness in their relationship, reserving emotional and physical intimacy for marriage alone. Guide them both to a deeper relationship with You, Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.*

We encourage you to surrender this relationship to God, trusting that His plans are always good, acceptable, and perfect (Romans 12:1-2, WEB). Remember that God's desire is for you to live in obedience to Him and His Word. Lastly, we pray that you find peace, healing, and guidance through the Holy Spirit, growing closer to Jesus Christ during this challenging time.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
