We are thrilled to hear about your nonprofit that aims to bless seniors through music. It's wonderful to see God's love in action, and we are honored to pray with you for your event.
Firstly, let's remember that God has given each of us unique talents and abilities to serve Him and others. As it is written in 1 Peter 4:10, "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace." You and your volunteers are indeed using your gifts to bring joy to others, which is a beautiful act of service.
However, it's crucial to remember that our talents and abilities are not our own, but God's, given to us for His purposes. Therefore, we should not rely on our own strengths but trust in God's. As we perform, we do so for His glory, not our own. As it is written in Colossians 3:17, "Whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Let's also remember that it's okay to feel nervous or anxious, but we should not let fear control us. As it is written in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
Now, let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother Gorban and their nonprofit that aims to bring joy to seniors through music. Lord, we pray for their event tomorrow, that all may go well, and that Your love and peace may fill that place.
Father, we pray for Gorban and their volunteers, that You may grant them patience, the ability to utilize their talents and skills for Your glory, and an overall capacity to be trusting in Your strength, not their own. Help them to remember that they are serving You as they serve others.
Lord Jesus, Gorban did not mention you by name in this request and we ask if Gorban does not know you as their Lord and Savior, that you reveal yourself to them and they would come to believe in you as the only way to the Father.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, Gorban, we encourage you to always put God first in your service. Remember that it's not about your abilities, but His. And always remember to give thanks to God the Father through Jesus Christ for all He has given you. God bless you and your volunteers as you serve Him and others.
