We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your daughter is facing. Depression is a real burden, but we know our God is a God of Comfort. He is the only one who can bring peace and healing to our souls. We can look at David's psalms and see how he struggled with depression but yet found his hope, joy, and healing in God.
Let us remind all of you reading that the Bible tells us to come boldly to the throne of grace that we may find mercy and help in time of need. And we are told in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all of our cares upon Jesus Christ, because He cares for us. We can approach God the Father in confidence.
We see the sadness of death in Romans 5:12: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Death is a result of sin. We also see that there is a time for everything. A time to be born and a time to die in Ecclesiastes 3:1-2. The Bible also tells us that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We can take comfort in that. And lastly we see that there is no grief in heaven. We are told in Revelation 21:4 that God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
We know not what the Bible says about having easy anger. We are told in Romans 12:21, Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. We are also told in Ephesians 4:31-32, Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
We need to pray for your daughter to find her healing and peace in Jesus Christ. We also need to pray for her that she can learn about God's love and grace. We also need to pray her anger is controlled and not allowed to be unleashed.
Dear Lord Jesus, please be with our sister in Christ and her daughter. We thank you for your love and your kindness. We pray for her that she can find comfort in you. We pray for her that she would turn to you and find the peace and joy that only you can give. We pray for her that her anger would not be unleashed and that she would learn to overcome evil with good. In Jesus Name. Amen.
We also would hope that if anyone reading knows this individual this could be a chance to explain the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other by which we can be saved.
