Let us come together in prayer for Rhuimir's daughter, Celestine Kanini. We will pray for her deliverance from alcohol consumption and for God's favor in her pursuit of employment. We are reminded in 1 Peter 5:8 (WEB), "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
Firstly, we must address that alcohol consumption is not God's best for Celestine. While the Bible does not outright forbid alcohol, it does warn against drunkenness and the strong influence that alcohol can have over us. Ephesians 5:18 (WEB) says, "Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." We pray that Celestine will turn away from alcohol and be filled with the Holy Spirit instead. May she find her strength and comfort in Jesus Christ and not in substance.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Celestine Kanini to You. Lord, we ask that You would deliver her from the temptation of alcohol. May she find her satisfaction and joy in You alone. Help her to be sober and self-controlled, and may Your Holy Spirit fill her and guide her in her life.
We also pray for her career. We know that You have good plans for Celestine, plans to give her a hope and a future. Lord, we ask that You would open the doors for her to secure a job with the cruise ship. We pray that You would work out the visa complications and give her favor in the interview process. We claim Philippians 4:13 (WEB) over her life, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Lord, we also pray for Rhuimir, that You would give them peace and trust in You as they intercede for their daughter. May they find comfort in Your promises and faithfulness.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
Rhuimir, we encourage you to continue praying for Celestine and to trust in God's timing and provision. Remember that God is faithful and that He hears your prayers. We also encourage you to speak openly with Celestine about the dangers of alcohol and the freedom that Christ offers.
Lastly, we noticed that the prayer request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father and it is only through the death and resurrection of Jesus that we are saved. As it says in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We encourage everyone to put their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.
