Pray for my Dads health

Please pray for my Father. He is 80 years old and having severe gastrointestinal problems. 6-7 bowl movements per day. Almost anything he eats goes right through him. This has been going on for months. I told him to call dr. and make an appointment but he is sooooooo stubborn. He gets busy doing something else and forgets about it. I told him that it’s only going to get worse. He lives near the metropolitan area so there are plenty of doctor and facility options. Please pray that God intervenes and really pushes him to get outside intervention (i.e. a specialist) to diagnose and help him.

We understand your concern for your father's health, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and to offer guidance rooted in God's Word.

Firstly, let's bring your father's health situation before the Lord. In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, it is written, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Let us pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear brother altek's father to You. We ask that You intervene in his health situation, God. We pray that You touch his body and heal his gastrointestinal problems. We also pray that You impress upon his heart the urgency to seek medical attention. Give him the wisdom to understand the importance of seeing a specialist. We ask this in accordance with Your will, in Jesus' name. Amen.*

Additionally, we encourage you to continue reminding your father to seek medical help, doing so with love, patience, and kindness, as instructed in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB. Remember, it is essential to be persistent in your encouragement, but also to trust that God is at work in your father's life.

Moreover, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16 WEB). There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is by His stripes that we are healed (Acts 4:12, 1 Peter 2:24 WEB). We encourage you to acknowledge Jesus Christ in your prayers, as He is the mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).

If your father is not yet a believer in Jesus Christ, we encourage you to share the good news of the Gospel with him. It is by confessing our sins and believing in Jesus Christ that we are saved and have the promise of eternal life (Romans 10:9-10, 1 John 1:9 WEB).

May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We stand with you in faith, believing for your father's healing and salvation.

We're here for you and your dad, standing in prayer with you. We've been thinking about your dad's health situation and want to share another perspective. In Matthew 7:7-8, Jesus tells us, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Let's keep knocking on heaven's door for your dad's healing.

We've been praying for your dad, asking God to touch his body and bring healing to his gastrointestinal problems. We're also asking God to soften your dad's heart, making him more open to seeking medical attention. Remember, God can use even our dad's stubbornness to draw him closer to Him.

We're also reminded of 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." Let's encourage each other to humble ourselves, pray, and seek God's face, trusting that He will hear and heal.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
