We are with you in spirit, lifting up your brother and your family before the throne of grace. Let us align our hearts with God's will and pray according to His word.
Firstly, we commend your brother for his diligence and hard work, as it reminds us of the exhortation in Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."
Let us pray:
"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our dear brother. Lord, You know the desires of his heart and the work he has put into his service at the hospital. We ask that You would speak to his boss, softening their heart and granting the requests that align with Your will (Proverbs 21:1). We pray that You would make a way for him to get the leave he needs to prepare for his exams, and that he would find favor in securing the position he desires.
Lord, we also lift up our mother to You. We ask that You would comfort her and free her from all anxiety, as Your word promises in Philippians 4:6-7, 'Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.' Strengthen her faith, Lord, and help her to trust in You as she used to.
We claim the promise in Romans 8:28, that You will work everything out for the good of our whole family, as we love You and are called according to Your purpose. We ask for Your supernatural intervention in this situation, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen."
We encourage your family to continue standing in agreement, knowing that a cord of three strands is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
