Let us come together in prayer for your ### who is struggling with addictions to alcohol, cigarettes, and tobacco. We know that addictions are not God's will for our lives. God desires for us to be sober and self-controlled.
First Peter 5:8 says, Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Thus, as we seek to help your ### in Jesus' name, we must be sober and self-controlled because of the adversary. We must be watchful of his ways and put on the whole armor of God.
Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Your ### is caught in a spiritual battle. The battle is not won with only natural help. It is a spiritual battle. Therefore, we must pray in Jesus' name and stand in the gap for him.
Jesus said in John 14:13-14 Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
John 16:23-24 In that day you will not ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full. We will pray for your ### in Jesus' name.
We will pray for God's will as your ### needs deliverance from these addictions. We need to rebuke your ###'s sin and call him to repentance. We pray that he would turn from these addictions and turn to God. Acts 3:19 says Repent therefore, and turn to God.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this man's ### who is battling addictions to alcohol, cigarettes, and tobacco. We acknowledge that these addictions are not Your will for his life, and we ask for Your help to break these chains in Jesus' name.
We pray for Your intervention, Father, that You would deliver him from these addictions and help him to be sober and self-controlled. We ask that Your will would be done in his life and that he would turn away from these substances and turn to You.
We pray that he would seek You with all his heart and that he would come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior if he does not already. We pray that he would be filled with the Holy Spirit and that he would be empowered to overcome these addictions in Jesus' name.
We also pray for his family, that they would be supportive and loving as he goes through this difficult time. We ask that You would give them wisdom and strength as they stand by him and help him to overcome.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us. We ask for Your healing and restoration in this man's life, and we trust that You will answer our prayers in Jesus' name.
Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray for your ### and to support him as he seeks to overcome these addictions. Trust in the Lord and lean on Him for strength and guidance. Remember that with God, all things are possible.
Matthew 19:26 states, With God all things are possible.
Stand strong in your faith and know that God is with you and your ### as you go through this trial. Finally, we rebuke your ###'s sin and call him to turn from his addiction. He needs to repent and turn to God.
