We understand your concern for your brother, and we stand with you in prayer, asking for God's intervention in his life. Your brother's involvement in the occult, idolatry, and his disregard for Jesus is indeed troubling, like rebellion and his arguing is akin to witchcraft and needs intervention. As it says, Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim. First Samuel 15:23 (WEB) Jesus must be lifted up and recognized as the only way to salvation. He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him, and have seen him. John 14:6-7
Let us pray for him together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother as he is entangled in the occult and idolatry, watching Taoist mediums, and other false religious practices. We pray, Father, that you would open his eyes and convict his heart through the power and presence of the Lord Jesus as dawning your word to his heart.
God, we ask you to intervene and cleanse his life and our home from all idols and spiritual objects, physically and spiritually, making him free.
"They did not destroy the peoples, as Yahweh commanded them, but mixed themselves with the nations, and learned their works." Psalm 106:34-35.
Father, we pray that you would deliver him from the bondage of these amulets and spiritual things and remove any enchantments held over his life.
And I saw an angel coming down out of the sky, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years should be finished: after this he must be set free for a little time. Revelation 20:1-3.
Lord, turn his heart away from these destructive influences. Please help him to see that Jesus is calling out to him with loving kindness. Lead him to repentance and faith in Jesus which can save him. Rebuke the harsh words spoken against Jesus by anyone holding onto these replused objects actually almost consorting with demons. Remove his desire to watch that which will not honor God and turn him to focus on that which brings glory to Jesus.
"Because inquiry will abound, the love of many will grow cold, but the body that endures to the end will be delivered", Matthew 12:12-13, and since we are in the end times, Lord, we pray for our brother to come in the fold and be discipled in the Jesus Christ follower Christian Faith to endure to the end.
Lord, we pray for his salvation in Jesus Christ, through his faith and belief in his name.
Please forgive him for any sins in pursuit of those involving in homosexuality. Father, in your mercy, we pray that any attempts by his enemies to influence his mind and actions to be as nothing. Lord, spiritual cleansing is our request for the house in Jesus Christ.
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say to you, Except one be born of water and spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again. John 3:5-8, and "But what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ. Further, indeed, I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and count them nothing but refuse, that I may gain Christ, and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, even that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death; if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead", Philippians 3:7-11, as game plan, and our prayer for spiritual cleaning in Jesus Christ.
Lord, in your loving kindness cause him to love Jesus Christ and to serve him with heart, mind, and strength in Jesus' name. Amen.
We will continue to pray for your brother and trust that God will hear our prayers read the Books of Acts and Ephesians for encouragement for you and God's working in your brother's life. As you stand in faith, believe that God is working behind the scenes to draw your brother to Him.
