Pray for my brother using over ### years

Please pray for my brother ### he’s been using on and off for years he maintains a job he pays his bills but he has repeated episodes every so often ###-### please pray for him he lives with with my mother and it stresses her and me but I know it’s not easy, praying for him to bridge a better relationship with God and to seek the help he needs amen

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggle your brother ### is facing, and we want you to know that we are standing with you in prayer. The Bible tells us, "Carry one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2 WEB)

Firstly, we want to remind you that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). No situation is too difficult for Him, and no one is beyond His reach.

However, we must also address that ### needs to take personal responsibility and make the decision to turn away from his substance use. The Bible says, "Let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with perseverance the race that is set before us." (Hebrews 12:1 WEB)

We pray, dear Lord, that You will touch ###'s heart and draw him closer to You. Give him the strength to overcome his struggles and the courage to seek the help he needs. We also pray for your mother, that You will give her peace and strength as she deals with this situation. Help them both to trust in You, for You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).

###, we encourage you to continue praying for ### and to speak the truth in love to him. Remind him that God loves him and has a better plan for his life. As the Bible says, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB)

Lastly, we notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus. It's important to remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As the Bible says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."
