Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother ### to you. We pray for him during this difficult time as he mourns the loss of his beloved wife. Lord, we ask that you would comfort him and bring healing to his broken heart. We pray that you would lift the spirit of heaviness that weighs upon him and replace it with your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Your Word reminds us in Psalm 34:18 that you are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We ask that you draw near to ### and wrap him in your loving arms. Give him the strength to face each day and the assurance that you are with him every step of the way.
Father, we pray specifically for his sleeplessness. We ask that you grant him peaceful and restful nights. May your presence fill his bedroom, calming his mind and bringing him the deep sleep that he needs. Your Word in Psalm 4:8 assures us that you alone make us dwell in safety, so we ask that you grant ### a sense of security and tranquility as he rests.
Lord, we also pray for ###'s overall well-being. Help him to find solace in you and to lean on your strength. Surround him with supportive and understanding loved ones who can provide comfort and encouragement. May he find hope and healing in your presence.
We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for your faithfulness to answer. We trust in your perfect timing and your unfailing love. May ### experience your peace that surpasses all understanding, and may he find comfort in knowing that you are with him every step of the way.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
