We understand that you're seeking prayer for a resolution to the Canada Post postal strike well before Christmas, hoping for a miracle. While we empathize with the inconveniences this strike may cause, we want to remind you of the biblical principles that should guide our prayers and actions. It's true from the Scriptures that:
It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
1 Timothy 2:5 WEB For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,'
Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
When we pray, we should focus on God's will and the spiritual needs of those involved. Strikes, though challenging, can provide opportunities for God to work in the lives of those affected. Let's pray for the spiritual well-being of the employees and management, as well as for a peaceful resolution that honors God.
Let's come in agreement before God:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up the situation at Canada Post. We pray for the workers and management, that they would seek Your will and wisdom in resolving this strike. We ask to help You help them look past their differences and find a peaceful and fair solution while looking to You for your intervention in an impossible situation of coming to agreement. We also will pray for God's wisdom for government intervention if necessary. Help them as a nation to look to put their trust ultimately in You to help them accept your will regarding issues like pensions, pay equality, workload, and job security, Ultimately help this be a witness for those involved to turn their hearts towards your love, mercy and grace. Help them look to You for the impossible.
But most importantly Lord, draw them to Yourself, so that they may know the true peace and joy that comes from a relationship with Your Son. We pray for the lost, those that do not name Jesus as their Saviour and are unable to be helped because they do not know Jesus Christ. Help each one that knows You learn to rely on You, Christ Jesus, in every circumstance. Help them look to You to for the impossible. If Your Divine answers means the strike is over by Christmas, so be it, but if You choose to let it continue to open the hearts of your people and the leaders to You then we will submit to your will.
Help those who will struggle because of this strike to look to You for their needs and financial provision. Let it be a testimony to your goodness, mercy, and grace and how IJN You can make the impossible possible. Help it be used by Your children to witness to You and what You can do in a godless and unbelieving world. And Lord we even plead for those who cry for peace but ignore the future peace we have through Jesus Christ, your Son.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
