Thank you, Aefnoth, for your declaration of love for Jesus. It is wonderful to hear of your affection for our Savior. Let us come together in prayer and reflection on God's Word.
Firstly, let's remember what they look like, for scripture says,
True love for Jesus is shown in our obedience to His commandments. As it is written in the WEB, "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous" (1 John 5:3).
Loving Jesus also means trusting in Him for salvation. It is by His name that we are saved. and through Him only we can approach the Father. If that is our belief we can have confidence as Christians to approach our Father with our concerns, because He hears us. As the WEB scripture says "Aren't two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father's will, But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore do not be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows" (Matthew 10:29-31). Furthermore, Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer, Aefnoth. We thank You for the love that Aefnoth has for Your Son, Jesus Christ. We ask that You continue to draw and guide Aefnoth, helping to step into Your calling, which is a high and holy one.
Lord, we pray that Aefnoth will grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus, with Your holy scriptures as the guide. Help our dear Aefnoth to be seen as more and more like Christ. Grant the grace needed in all trials and tribulations, remembering that suffering and pain are part of our path to glory.
We ask that You provide discernment of different aspects of his character which may not be fully aligned with Your will, and the power to overcome challenges which may arise. I pray that he surrounds himself with godly, Christian believers always seeking Your will in all things.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or confusion that may try to hinder Aefnoth's walk with You. We declare victory in Jesus' name, knowing that You have already overcome the world.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, Aefnoth, in 2 Chronicles 7:14, God promises, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Keep seeking God's face, and His will, trusting in His goodness and faithfulness.
We are here for you. We know you only by your username Aefnoth; but, we are assured of our commitment to fellow support, including by prayer and guidance.
