Heavenly Father,
We come before You today on behalf of Your child, who is struggling with drinking and is deeply concerned for their wife. Lord, we ask for Your strength and guidance in overcoming this battle with addiction. Your Word in Philippians 4:13 assures us, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We trust in Your strength to help them overcome this challenge.
Lord, we pray for Your child to have the courage and determination to quit drinking. We ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them the willpower and perseverance to resist temptation. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, You promise, "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Provide them with the way of escape, Lord, and help them to endure.
We also pray for peace and reassurance for their heart, as they worry about their wife. In Matthew 11:28, You invite us, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Grant them rest and peace, Lord, knowing that You are in control and that Your love and care surround their wife.
Lord, we ask for healing and restoration in their life. Help them to build a strong and loving relationship with their wife, free from the burdens of addiction. Jeremiah 30:17 says, "For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord." We believe in Your promise of restoration and healing.
We trust in Your power, Lord, and we ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. May Your child find the strength to overcome their addiction and the peace to support and care for their wife. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
