We are glad to join you in prayer, asking God to guide you in this important area of your life. We appreciate that you acknowledge that this request is in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible, we are specifically told to do all things in the name of Jesus Christ. It is also by the name of Jesus Christ that we are saved. Just believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God and rose from the dead and you will be saved. It is as simple as that.
Firstly, we commend you for seeking God's will in your desire for a spouse. Be assured that marriage is in fact a honorable institution established by God himself. The WEB bible tells us in Hebrews 13:4, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled. But God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." We should not be involved with sexual immorality called fornication before marriage. Also, we are to marry other believers. The Bible teaches this in 2 Corinthians 6:14 "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" Therefore, we will pray for God to guide you to a godly woman who shares your faith and values.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother who seeks Your will in his life. We pray that You guide him to a godly woman who will love, cherish and respect him according to your word. Give both the wisdom and ability to know each other and have interest in each other. Help them to be both God fearing and God serving. Let them help each other to serve You better. Help them to be able to meet each other in practical ways and prevent any obstacles to their meeting. Lord, we ask for Your miraculous intervention in his life, that You would open doors for a God-honoring relationship that leads to a beautiful example of a Christ-centered marriage.
We also pray for Your provision in his life. We ask that You open doors for a good job, that he may be able to work and provide as You intend for him. We trust in Your promise in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
We rebuke any doubts or fears, trusting in Your perfect plan and timing. We declare Your promise in Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust in God's timing and provision. Be encouraged by the knowledge that God loves you and has a plan for your life. Keep your faith strong and active, seeking God's will in all things. He will be with you to help you and guide you with your future wife. Remember that true love and joy are found in Him and in His ways and that God is able to do anything. Study the Word and ask God for patience to wait on Him in this. God is able to complete all that he desires to do in you and your life.
